A client transferred from a retirement village with total assets of $177,000, therefore taking them over the threshold. Knowing this, the Aged Care facility requested a RAD of $450k. HAAA negotiated the RAD down to 200k which ensured the pension would cover all aged care fees.
A client promised her mother they would never sell the family home. But with a RAD of $550k this was impossible. We renegotiated the figure down to $330k therefore saving the family home.
